Prostaglandin D2 ELISAs

Cayman Chemical's range of prostaglandin D2 (PGD2) ELISAs enable the accurate measurement of PGD2 and are provided in either 96 or 480 strip or solid well formats.

The highly sensitive prostaglandin D2 ELISA kit can quantify PGD2 in cell culture lysates and enzymatic reactions down to 55 pg/ml (with an overnight incubation period) whereas the rapid PGD2 express ELISA kit offers the ease of results in less than four hours whilst still measuring PGD2 levels down to 350 pg/ml.

To account for the chemical instability of PGD2, Cayman Chemical also offer the prostaglandin D2-MOX ELISA and Prostaglandin D2-MOX Express ELISA kits which utilises the addition of methoxylamine hydrochloride (MOX HCl) to the sample to convert PGD2 to a stable methoxylamine (MOX) derivative.

The antiserum used in these assays is highly specific for PGD2-MOX due to its development (using conjugates of the MOX derivative) as well as the assay being validated against stable isotope dilution GC/MS. Measurements using both techniques on identical samples showed a correlation coefficient of 0.97. The highly sensitive prostaglandin D2-MOX ELISA kit measure PGD2-MOX levels down to 3.1 pg/ml whilst the D2-MOX Express ELISA allows results in under four hours, measuring PGD2-MOX levels down to 16 pg/ml.
