A flavonoid with diverse biological activities; active against P. falciparum in vitro (IC50 = 23 µM); inhibits the cytopathic effect of EV71 in Vero cells (EC50 = 0.68 µM); increases survival in a neonatal mouse model of EV71 infection at 1 and 5 mg/kg; increases proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of isolated BMSCs; prevents estrogen deficiency-induced bone loss in ovariectomized mice
