A neuromodulatory agent; inhibits 5-HT and norepinephrine reuptake in rat brain at 39.4 mg/kg; induces hypothermia when administered by intracisternal or intraperitoneal injection; induces hyperthermia when implanted as crystals in the medial preoptic area of the hypothalamus in rats; substitutes for (+)-amphetamine in rats in a two-lever drug discrimination test in a dose-dependent manner
