A methylcatechol with diverse biological activities; inhibits migration of, and induces cell cycle arrest in the G2/M phase, production of ROS, and apoptosis in, 1205Lu cells at 10 and 25 µg/ml; induces relaxation of rat aortic rings and mesenteric arteries (EC50s = 49.1 and 21.2 µM, respectively) and reduces blood pressure in SHRSP rats
