Product Description:
A perfluoroalkyl substance; activates PPARα in a reporter assay using COS-1 cells expressing the human receptor from 1-100 µM; topical application increases liver weight and the number of B cells, T cells, NK cells, eosinophils, and dendritic cells in the draining lymph node, decreases BUN levels, and induces epidermal hyperplasia and hyperkeratosis in mice at 5% v/v; has been found in landfill leachate and sea and river water
