Product Description:
A tricyclic antidepressant; inhibits 5-HT uptake by isolated human platelets by 39 and 68% at 1 and 4 µg/ml, respectively; inhibits norepinephrine uptake by rat brain by 77% at 10 mg/kg; an antagonist of 5-HT2A receptors (Ki =20 nM), as well as histamine H1, muscarinic acetylcholine, and α1-adrenergic receptors (Kis = 1.1, 18, and 27 nM, respectively); prevents acid sphingomyelinase activation and subsequent ceramide release induced by pp-VSV-SARS-CoV-2 infection in Vero cells at 5-25 µM
