A prodrug form of terbutaline; an inhibitor of BChE (IC50 = 3.9 nM for the human enzyme); increases the latency to histamine-induced collapse in guinea pigs at 1 and 2 mg/kg; completely inhibits ovalbumin-induced decreases in dynamic compliance and increases in pulmonary resistance in ovalbumin-sensitized guinea pigs at 10 mg/kg
