Product Description:
An active metabolite of (±)-propranolol; decreases isoproterenol-induced tachycardia and vasodepression in cats (EC50 = 54 µg/kg); increases heart rate in catecholamine-depleted rats at 10 and 80 µg/kg; decreases heart rate, myocardial contractility, and cardiac output in dogs in a dose-dependent manner; reduces superoxide-induced lipid peroxidation in isolated rat hepatic microsomes (IC50 = 1.1 µM) and prevents superoxide-induced depletion of GSH levels in BAEC cells (EC50 = 1.2 µM)
