Product Description:
A selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor; selectively binds to SERT (Ki = 0.89 nM) over the norepinephrine and dopamine transporters (Kis = >10,000 and 8,150 nM, respectively); inhibits 5-HT reuptake in rat brain synaptosomes (IC50 = 2.1 nM); reduces immobility in the forced swim test in mice (ED50 = 12 mg/kg) and increases exploratory behavior in the black-and-white box test in mice (MED = 0.49 mg/kg); prevents acid sphingomyelinase activation and subsequent ceramide release induced by pp-VSV-SARS-CoV-2 infection in Vero cells at 20 µM
