A lignan; scavenges ABTS and DPPH radicals in cell-free assays (IC50s = 23.2 and 88.5 µM, respectively); inhibits MMP-7 (IC50 = 260 µM); decreases acethylcholine-induced contractions in isolated guinea pig ileum at 30 and 100 µM
