An ER stress inducer; increases the thermal stability of lysosomal acid lipase at 10 µM in the CETSA but does not inhibit lysosomal acid lipase enzymatic activity at 30 µM; increases ER tubule width, EIF2AK3 and IRE1α phosphorylation, and XBP1 splicing in SUM149 cells at 1 µM; reduces tumor volume and weight in several PDX mouse models of TNBC at 10 mg/kg
